"Mémoire au Féminin" – Une exposition collective à ArtSpace Casablanca

À l’occasion de la Journée Internationale des Droits des Femmes, j’ai eu l’honneur de participer à l’exposition collective « Mémoire au Féminin » à ArtSpace Casablanca, un lieu vibrant dédié à la création contemporaine. Cette exposition éphémère a réuni huit artistes marocains aux univers singuliers, réunis autour d’un même fil rouge : la mémoire, l’identité et la force du féminin.

Aux côtés de Lamia Meksi, Aïcha Abouhaj, Zahra Kouider, Mouna Moumni, Aya Amrani, Sarah Elakhal, Yahia Al Mukhtar et Marouane Maouhoub, nous avons chacun et chacune présenté des œuvres qui dialoguent, qui s’interrogent, qui racontent. Entre portraits intimes, scènes du quotidien et abstractions chargées d’émotions, nos créations ont composé un musée éphémère, un espace temporaire chargé de sens, de regards croisés et de souvenirs partagés.

Mon travail, entre pop art et cubisme, y trouvait un nouvel écho : une manière de déconstruire les normes, de célébrer la complexité de la femme, et d’explorer ses multiples visages avec couleur et intensité.

Je tiens à remercier chaleureusement toute l’équipe de ArtSpace Casablanca pour cette invitation et pour avoir créé un lieu où la mémoire, l’art et la parole féminine trouvent un espace de liberté et d’expression.

Participer à cette exposition, c’était plus qu’un accrochage : c’était un acte de transmission, de sororité, et une célébration collective de ce que nous sommes, dans toute notre diversité.

Mémoire au Féminin – Exhibiting at ArtSpace Casablanca

On March 8, for International Women’s Day, I had the privilege of exhibiting my work at the celebrated ArtSpace Casablanca, as part of the collective exhibition “Mémoire au Féminin”—a remarkable gathering of eight talented artists offering a multifaceted vision of the female experience

Sharing the walls with a diverse group—including Lamia Meksi, Aïcha Abouhaj, Zahra Kouider, Mouna Moumni, Aya Amrani, Sarah Elakhal, Yahia Al Mukhtar and Marouane Maouhoub—was deeply inspiring. Each of us presented a unique narrative—portraits, intimate scenes, emotionally-charged abstractions—presenting a powerful dialogue between presence and absence, visibility and silence

For me, this exhibition represented more than art on display—it was a celebration of women’s voices, memories, and resilience. It was particularly meaningful to participate in a “museo efímero”, an ephemeral museum meant to evoke a living memory of femininity, dialogue, and shared heritage

Working alongside this incredible lineup of artists, each with her/his distinctive voice and visual language, was invigorating. The synergy between our pieces—my own blend of pop art and cubism exploring themes of female identity and social norms—created an immersive experience that both challenged and celebrated what femininity can look and feel like.

Thank you to ArtSpace Casablanca team, for curating such a thoughtful and vibrant show—a true space of creation, memory, and empowerment.

Exhibiting there reminded me once again that art is a powerful connector—between people, memories, emotions, and histories. And when it’s centered on women’s stories, it resonates on a whole new level.
