« Sound of Colors » à Alif Riad : quand l’art rencontre la musique et l’âme de Fès
J’ai eu le plaisir d’exposer ma série Sound of Colors dans un cadre d’exception : le somptueux Alif Riad, en partenariat avec le American Center of Fes. Cette expérience fut bien plus qu’une simple présentation artistique, c’était une véritable rencontre entre la tradition et la modernité, entre les couleurs vibrantes de mes œuvres et l’authenticité unique d’un riad fassie.
Le décor du riad, avec ses mosaïques délicates, ses arcs élégants et sa lumière tamisée, a offert une toile de fond parfaite qui a fusionné avec l’univers visuel de mes peintures. Chaque tableau semblait prolonger les motifs ancestraux des murs, dans une conversation silencieuse entre passé et présent.
Pour ancrer encore plus profondément cette exposition dans la culture locale, une troupe de musique issawa a joué en live, insufflant à l’espace une ambiance envoûtante. Les rythmes et chants mystiques des issawa ont magnifiquement reflété le thème de la série, qui explore la relation entre la couleur et la musique, entre le son et la lumière. C’était un véritable dialogue sensoriel où chaque note semblait se peindre sur les toiles.
Cette collaboration avec le American Center of Fes a permis de créer un pont culturel, mettant en valeur à la fois la richesse artistique marocaine et l’influence internationale qui nourrit mon travail. L’exposition « Sound of Colors » à Alif Riad reste une expérience marquante, un moment où art, musique et patrimoine se sont unis pour offrir aux visiteurs une immersion unique et vibrante.

I had the wonderful opportunity to showcase my Sound of Colors series at the stunning Alif Riad, in collaboration with the American Center of Fes. This exhibition was much more than just an art show — it was a harmonious meeting point between tradition and modernity, where the vibrant colors of my paintings intertwined beautifully with the authentic atmosphere of a historic Fes riad.
The riad’s decor, with its intricate mosaics, elegant arches, and soft natural light, created the perfect backdrop that seemed to merge seamlessly with the visual language of my artwork. Each painting appeared to echo the ancient patterns on the walls, engaging in a silent dialogue between past and present.
To deepen this cultural connection, a live issawa band performed traditional music throughout the event. Their mesmerizing rhythms and chants reflected the core theme of the exhibit — exploring the relationship between color and sound, between light and music. The sensory experience was immersive, as every note seemed to paint its own vibrant stroke across the canvases.
This collaboration with the American Center of Fes helped build a cultural bridge, highlighting both the rich Moroccan heritage and the international influences that inspire my work. The Sound of Colors exhibition at Alif Riad was truly a memorable moment — a celebration of art, music, and heritage coming together to offer visitors a unique and vivid experience.
